Welcome to Mid-Sun!

Local Talent for Community BBQ

Do you or someone you know have a special talent you’d like to share with the world?  Or maybe just a small part of it?

Mid-Sun Community Centre is holding a Community BBQ on June 24th from 4-8pm and are looking for some amazing local talent to help us provide some free entertainment to our residents!

If you’re interested in being added to our line-up, please fill out the application link below.  Please note that this opportunity is provided to all people of any age, but is unpaid and must be child-friendly.  Those who reside in either Midnapore or Sundance will be given first priority. Should you have any questions, please email manager@midsun.org.

School Lunch Snack Drive – Seeking Donations at Mid-Sun

We are collecting snack items for Brown Bagging 4 Calgary Kids.  BB4CK uses our kitchen three times a week to make, pack, and deliver over 4,700 school lunches to children all around our City. If you’re visiting the Community Centre, please consider bringing an item from their wish list to donate – or help us by spreading the word!! Every little donation helps these kids get the fuel they need to grow their bodies and their brains!!

Mid-Sun’s Parade of Garage Sales

The Mid-Sun Parade of Garage Sales has been organized in the past by realtors within our communities of Midnapore and Sundance. As of right now, there is no date to host a parade of garage sales for Midnapore and Sundance.

Mid-Sun Community Association acknowledges Mohkínsstsisi [mohk-KIN-stiss] and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot Confederacy comprised of the Siksiká [six-ih-GAH], the Káínai [GUY-nah], and the Piikáni [bee-GAH-nee] First Nations; the Tsúūt’ínà [soot-IN-uh] First Nations; and the Stoney Nakoda [nuh-KOH-duh] including the Chiniki [CHIN-ih-kee], Bearspaws [BEARS paw], and Wesley [WESS-lee] First Nations. We have respect for and deep gratitude to Indigenous peoples whose traditional territories we are honored to operate within.
