The Mid-Sun Preschool Program believes children learn through play. Through our not-for-profit, child-centered, play based program we strive to provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum, which meets all areas of development, physical social, emotional, and cognitive. Our curriculum planning emphasizes learning as an interactive process. Teachers prepare the environment for the children to learn through active exploration and interaction with adults, other children and materials. The children are encouraged to take responsibility for making choices about what they do and for what period of time.

Some of our goals for your child are:

The Mid-Sun Preschool Program will provide a stimulating environment for the children through the use of "centers". Centers may include but not limited to, arts and craft, reading, housekeeping, sand and water, blocks, science. The centers change to meet the needs of the children as determined by the Teacher.

- We will provide a planned, organized program that relates to basic concepts of a preschooler's life such as body parts, nutrition, holidays, and animals.

- We will provide appreciation for the community in which our program exists which includes field trips into the community and special visits from resource persons.

- Promote development and good co-ordination of small and large muscles through use of our gym and outdoor playground.

- We will develop a feeling of confidence and positive self-image in each child.

Fees for the term are as follows:

Non refundable registration fee $35.00

3 & 4 year old program - MUST be 3 by September 4th 2012

Tuesday/Thursday 9:00 to 11:15am $125.00 per month
Staggered entry begins September 4, 2012

4 & 5 year old program
Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:00 to 11:15am $165.00 per month
Staggered entry begins September 5th, 2012

3 & 4 year old program - MUST be 3 by September 4th 2012
Tuesday/Thursday 1:00pm to 3:15pm $125.00 per month
Staggered entry begins September 4, 2012

4 & 5 year old program
Monday/Wednesday/Friday 1:00pm to 3:15pm $165.00 per month
Staggered entry begins September5th, 2012

ALL CHILDREN MUST BE TOILET TRAINED

Completed registration form
$35.00 registration fee
September 2012 (first month) fee postdated September 1st, 2012

Postdated cheques dated October 1st, 2012 thru to June 1st , 2013
