About Out-Of-School Care
Mid-Sun OOSC:
Our program is designed specifically for school aged children, kindergarten to grade 6. It is based on the philosophy that all children have a well-supervised, safe, secure environment, which encourages the development of self-esteem, self-sufficiency, self-discipline and cooperation.
Our enriching kindergarten OOSC Program is based on weekly themes to help your child grow through social interactions, play, crafts and activities. Themes are interactive and creative giving your child a variety of fun, active and quiet activities. Some of the themes include Dinosaur week, Chef Week, Snow week, Music week, Pet week and Olympic week. An afternoon snack will be served daily with either water or juice. The Children will get a fun learning experience through daily free play and centre choices as well as gym, outside game and park time. Mid-Sun Community Centre OOSC services 10 families from Midnapore and Mother Teresa School. Children will be dropped off and picked up from their school daily. Parents need to provide a daily lunch and a morning snack on off-school days.
Although we have planned activities, it is the child's choice to join them. A variety of bright, welcoming centers allow children to initiate, decide and follow through with a choice of activity.
Being located within the Mid-Sun Community Centre affords the program a great many amenities including a college sized gym, commercial kitchen, dance studio and adjacent modern playground with surrounding field.
The Mid-Sun OOSC Program is within walking distance of both neighborhood schools, Midnapore Elementary and Mother Teresa Elementary. We operate Monday through Friday, opening at 7:00am and closing at 6:00pm. Before school care is $105.00 per month and After school care is $180.00 per month. This includes Professional Days, after school snack and field trips.

Fees for the term are as follows:
Non refundable registration fee $50.00
OOSC Grades 1 to 6:
Morning $105.00 / month
After $180.00 / month – includes non-school days
Drop-In (space permitting) $10.00 / per component
OOSC Kindergarten:
$550.00/month – includes non-school days
**All kindergarten participants must bring their own lunch
